Willow here~ ^^ Sorry I haven't been blogging here for so long... I have been busy with my schoolwork and stuff.... Anyway, I'm sure you all know that Miseibi is now on a great search for a lead guitarist... We will be holding an audition before March... Those who have played the guitar for more than a year and a half, you will be getting the listen-and-play test... Those who have not learned the guitar for more than a year and a half, you will have to prepare songs to play... The minimum of 1 song and maximum of 3 songs... The music genre would have to be JRock... So you can either play a rock ballad, slow rock or, well, rock... Lol~ Or you can play songs that are of all 3 categories... ^^ Well, for the guys going for the audition, be prepared to put make-up and look a bit girlish... We would make you look bishounen, if possible...

We also might be having a band manager joining our team... So maybe look forward to that~ (:

Good luck to those going for the audition... I'll try to make it to the auditioning... No promises, though... Gambarre!!!

I've been dead on inspiration for songs... Yuki san composed a tune that I think fits one of my songs well... ^^V

Good news people!!!! We've finally settled on a new band name.... Harmatia will, from today onwards be known as Miseibi... There is no exact meaning for Miseibi... It's just a name that really grows on you... Trust me, my sister got addicted to saying Miseibi after repeating it for 3 times.... XDDD

I realised something in common between guitarists and bassists... No long fingernails for them... Haha... So I guess it's goodbye to long nice black nails for me, Dee and Shiina when we get to perform, practice and stuff... XDD

Haha... Yuki san and I have already settled on 2 songs to play on our first performance... I happen to heart the songs a lot... So I'm 100% confident to say that the hard work to performing those songs will definitely worth it... So gambarre, all!!!! And wish me luck to finding a Teruki for my cosplay group '07~

Obviously, as you can tell, Willow here... ^^

Anyway, here to blog because my mind went whirring... Well, our band is facing many problems such as being inexperienced, not to mention that most of the band members are unfamiliar to the instrument we're supposed to play!!!! XDDD I'm sure though we don't mention it but we do have times when we feel like giving up... I admit I had moments like that... Well, we still have problems like many lingering issues, distance, meetups, practice, jamming and of course, performance... It's true that we have lots of problems, I agree... But look on the bright side... If we had held on for so long, isn't it a great pity that we just give up right now??? I'm sure it is... If you want to give up, you should have done it much earlier...

Imagine... If everything were to be like a dream... So when we wake up, everything ends... So everything we've been doing has ended up in nothing... Personally, I think that would not have been much of a difference from us building something and spending lots of time and effort on it, ending up with nothing but a bump and topple... We're back to square one...

I think a better option would be not to focus so much on the problem itself... Not that I'm telling you to run away from the problem but...Wouldn't it be better if we focused more on the possible solutions to the problem... Although I'm not your typical, "Oh everything is going to be fine and okay" person... I don't like lying to myself and pretending that the problems are so small... But I don't believe it'll be any better if we think, "Omg... we have so many problems" and think we won't be able to solve them, would be any better...

Well, I think we should all have faith that we will pull through... I'll only accept being back to square one if we had been defeated by the problem... But as we all know, "No mountain is too high to conquer"... So hopefully, this post does give a boost to your faith... Persist in what you want... Or in the future, you'll get a nasty reminder that the world isn't a place where you can get what you want just by whining to your parents...

BECK and BAND

Sorry for not posting for a very long time.

I've been watching 'BECK' Animation and thinking about Band stuffs lately.
Just watch a few episodes of 'BECK' anime and it is really interesting from a certain view of a musician. People faces problems every now and then, we have to try finding the problem and be a problem solver.

I have been thinking about my Band stuffs though we are all inexperienced and had never performed before. Each and everyone of us are living in a different life but with similiar dream, being in a band, thus we came together as one.
However, we had not even jammed once nor had we meet up together because of our school activity and I'm quite worried about it. I know myself clear that I lack in quality and mindset as leader but I will give my very best as vocalist and as leader.

Now that the holidays are already here and Dee-chan will be coming back to Singapore during the December holidays, I want to take this opportinuty to list out the problems and to overcome them slowly. Although all of us are still inexperienced, I want to make use of the little time we have together as a band.
There are many Pros and Cons to think of, our first trouble will be the band name which is left unresolved.

Haha... Obviously, you see a new blogskin... Anyway, Willow here~ This blog has been 'dead' for quite some time... I guess everyone is busy with stuff... Obviously, Willow here has been busy... Sleeping all day long, that is... I got my haircut today and then made my way with Ngee Ann City with xuri to watch REI's performance... Of course, I got to see out dear band mentor, Koyuki, all dressed up Bou-ish... XDDD

So what have I been doing besides sleeping??? I guess I was fangirling over different JRock bands like Wizard, Izabel Varosa, GHOST, GOSSIP, Plastic Tree, An Cafe, Gazette and Alice Nine... These are really awesome bands in my opinion...And getting really hooked unto Batsu... I also dreamt of GHOST last night!!! XDDD Anyway, yep... Just reviving the blog... Harmatia is still searching for a suitable name for the band.... Hopefully, we'll be able to settle on one by the December meeting... Going off now... Jaa~

Ah yes, I really have to thank them one day for putting up this thread and mentioning many different band name.

In anycase, to prevent confusion and insults, we might have to change our band name to "H-matia". Unless there is any other better name than "H-matia". Well of course if we can keep our katakana band name.

I was watching the live videos of Alice Nine, Gazette and Nightmare on YouTube... I was trying to find out how these vkei band's vocals are able to control their growling as well as their singing and stuff... I realised something similar... They all have backup vocals... So basically, we need to find a backup vocal who will be able to help in bringing down Yuki san's voice to the lowest... So hopefully, that person does exist in one of the Harmatia band members...

Or the other choice would be that we try to bring Yuki san's voice to a lower tone... Which will definitely be more difficult and require lots more effort... We will also run the risk of spoiling Yuki san's voice... That is something that we definitely do not want to risk... That is because it's definitely not worth it to spoil Yuki san's voice although Harmatia IS important to the 5 of us... The thing is that since we're an all-girls' band... We definitely have the disadvantage that our voices do not break and is definitely of a higher tone than guys... Hence, it is definitely easier for guys to bring down their tone to the growl-singing tone...

This is one problem we'll have to solve asap... This determines if our band will end up to be a sucky band or an awesome band... Afterall, we do not have people who are like Hizumi of D'espairs Ray who is a pro at growl-singing and is able to sing with or without backup vocal... So let's hope that one of the Harmatia members will be able to lower Yuki san's voice to at least nearing the growl-singing tone...

Sorry if this post does bring stress to all of you... But I do need you all to know the importance of solving this problem... I also need to give you all appropriate amount of stress through this post to let you all know how important this is and that I'm definitely not joking... So maybe if you all are free, train your voices a bit... At least try to lower your own tone, if possible.. I'm planning to ask my sister's friend if she can teach me some voice-toning... Maybe I can ask if she can just train Harmatia... But there's no promise... I'll try my best... If not, I can ask some tips from her... Afterall, do understand that she is busier than she should be, even though she's a secondary one student... Even though I'm asking you all to lower your tone, doesn't mean that you neglect your higher voice tone... It's also important... But we'll come to that after we solve this problem first...

Oh... Another important thing... Any of the Harmatia members know how to play the piano??? It's important if we're going to have ballads... There are still many things that I haven't touched on... But these are the more important stuff that you all have to know... Another thing is the logo of the band and co-ordinating the band look... Okay... I think I'm piling more and more problems... So I shall stop here... For now, just focus on the voice-toning problem... I'll probably find help for the band logo... But please don't distract yourself from studying because of the band... I do NOT want any Harmatia members withdrawing from the band because their parents think that the band affects them adversely, okay??? End for now... So keep your fingers crossed for the backup vocal...

Haha... Okay... A little anti-climax to say this but... Harmatia members and Harmatia mentor, please check your emails regularly as any lyrics, announcements or whatsoever will be sent to your email... So far, we've only got 2 approved songs... Stolen and Hime Hime... [Dee, it's now okay to announce now because both songs are now approved... I was waiting for the songs to be approved before announcing it... Sorry to cause you to be really shocked earlier in SG Cafe... *hugs*]

Don't stress yourself to come up with anymore if you have no inspiration... We all understand that exams are nearing and you'll probably need your brains more for studying... ^^ Shiina wrote the lyrics some years back while mine was just a sudden strike of inspiration[though it is kinda weird]... So no point in forcing yourselves... Inspiration will fly further away... At least we have some progress right now... So... Yay!!!!! *cheers*

The Charade of Life I (Colour Conspiracy)

Have you ever wondered if the colour u see is the correct colour everyone around you sees?

Lets start with our education.

Who is the first people to actually tell you about colours? Parents right? The same goes for your parents and all older generation.

Lets begin with the colour RED

Red is just a word to describe this certain tone of colour. he same goes for all other colours.
We are all taught from young that this colour dat we see and registered by our brain is called RED.
What if everyone of us sees colours differently?

I may see this colour as blue but our brain registers this colour and links it with the word RED because we are taught that this colour that we see is named RED.

All programs are designed and built by humans, therefore, IF there is supposely a machine that can actually tells you what colour your vision is actually picking up, it is also rendered useless. Because this colour "tradition" have been passed down since colours are given a name, no one ever really questions this fact that we humans may actually see things with a different vision from each other.

For example:Subject A sees a RED (to our common knowledge registered to our brain) apple in green colour and he is taught that apple is RED. He will never ever know that the apple is "RED" and throughout his life, all green items he sees are henceforth named RED. PS:I am just using 1 colour as an example, dont ask me what about "GREEN" items.

Nobody can actually know that even through a colour test for the colour perception of the examiner and the candidate may be totally different as well.

Even with the colour wavelength test, who are you so say that your "blue" wavelength is shorter than your red wavelength when there is a possiblity that my colour pallette maybe different from you?

With this theory un-proven, its actually kinda fun to wonder if we are eating purple burgers with yellow beef patty or blue french fries! but we will never know cause this might be one of god's greatest mystery dat is never be meant to be solved. ^^

VERDICT:WORDS ARE JUST LETTERS PUT TOGETHER TO ORIENTATE YOUR BRAIN TO A SUBJECT. AND ORIENTATION CAN BE MANUPILATED BY ANYONE.

Piercing ears???

I've realised something... There are still many things we have not thought of about the band and stuff... Afterall, besides getting all the band members to master playing their instruments is a different thing from getting everything such as outfits, band look and stuff in order... Do I make any sense??? Anyway, yes... Yesterday, we have decided that Yuki san will be the Harmatia leader... Something none of the Harmatia members thought of until Koyuki kindly reminded us... I guess we are still new to forming a band, afterall...

Anyway, regarding Jillyann going to pierce her ears... Hmm... My sisters actually pierced their ears when they were around primary one or two... I only pierced my ears when I was secondary one... I was deathly afraid of that gun thing that they use to pierce our ears... So that day when I went to pierce my ears, I felt like I was on execution ground or something... XDD But it was over in a while... To say the truth, it wasn't painful... Maybe just a little but definitely not as painful as most people who had never gotten their ears pierced thought it would be... I'm planning to get a second piercing on my left ear this end-year holidays... I'm seriously looking forward to holidays... I think I live for holidays... But at least now, I have another thing live for... Harmatia... I guess the idea of getting Harmatia together has given all the Harmatia members something to live for and look forward to, no???
